Shipping & Fulfillment · 25 features
Ship on time, prove it, and know before you're late.
Twenty-five Shipping and Fulfillment features - pick, pack, ship, carrier assignment, route optimization, and shipment tracking - wired to an On-Time Delivery prediction agent that flags a slipping order before the dock door ever opens.
The challenge
- !On-time delivery is measured after the fact - there's no early signal when an order is about to slip
- !Picking, packing, and shipping run in spreadsheets and a separate carrier portal that don't reconcile with inventory
- !Carrier selection and routing are manual, so freight cost and transit time are guesses, not decisions
- !Certificates of conformance and quality holds aren't enforced at the dock, so non-conforming product can ship
What it does
- ✓OTD Prediction agent forecasts on-time delivery performance per order before it ships, surfacing past-due risk while there's still time to act
- ✓End-to-end fulfillment pipeline: order creation, picking, packing, and shipping with full status-lifecycle visibility
- ✓Route Optimization agent automates carrier assignment and scheduling against transit time and cost
- ✓Shipment tracking with carrier status, ETAs, and proof-of-delivery captured against the original order
- ✓Shipment quality gate auto-attaches certificates of conformance and blocks shipping when a quality hold is open
- ✓OTD, lead-time, and past-due metrics tracked continuously, not reconstructed at month-end
Inside the module
Every capability, included.
The intelligence
Three AI agents that keep deliveries honest.
OTD Prediction
Anticipates on-time delivery performance per order before it ships, so a slipping promise becomes an alert and a decision - not a customer's complaint.
Route Optimization
Automates carrier assignment and scheduling against transit time and freight cost, so the cheapest route that still hits the date is chosen by default.
Schedule AI
Reads shop-floor completion and route plans together, so a delay upstream reflows the shipping schedule instead of surfacing at the dock.
The dock gate
Nothing ships that shouldn't.
Fulfillment shares one data model with Inventory and Quality, so the dock enforces the same rules as the rest of the floor.
Picks release only against allocated, available-to-promise stock - no shipping phantom inventory
Certificates of conformance attach automatically, so aerospace and defense paperwork ships with the part
Open NCRs and quality holds block the shipment, keeping non-conforming product off the truck
Hazmat flags route restricted material through the correct documentation and carrier rules
Connected across the platform
One source of truth.
Inventory
Allocation, available-to-promise, and kit-shortage alerts flow into fulfillment, so a pick can't be released against stock that isn't there.
Sales Orders
Order lines drive the pick-pack-ship pipeline and feed promised dates back into OTD prediction, closing the loop from quote to delivery.
Quality
A shipment quality gate auto-attaches the certificate of conformance and holds the dock when an open NCR or quality hold would otherwise let non-conforming product ship.
Standards & compliance
Built in, not bolted on.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
How does Cortrova predict on-time delivery before an order ships?
The OTD Prediction agent reads each order's promised date, shop-floor completion progress, allocation status, and route plan, then forecasts whether it will arrive on time. When an order is trending late, it raises a past-due risk alert while there's still room to expedite, re-route, or re-sequence - instead of reporting the miss after the customer has already noticed.
Does shipping enforce quality holds and certificates of conformance?
Yes. A shipment quality gate sits between the pick and the dock. It auto-attaches the certificate of conformance to the shipment and blocks the ship event whenever an open NCR or quality hold applies, so non-conforming product can't leave the building - critical for AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR-regulated work.
How are carriers and routes chosen?
The Route Optimization agent assigns carriers and schedules shipments against transit time and freight cost, recommending the lowest-cost route that still meets the promised delivery date. Carrier status and ETAs then flow back into shipment tracking, so the same record covers selection, transit, and proof of delivery.
How does fulfillment stay in sync with inventory?
Shipping and Inventory share one data model. Material allocation, available-to-promise, and kit-shortage alerts gate the pick, so a pick list is never released against stock that isn't physically there. When a shipment goes out, on-hand quantities adjust in the same transaction - no nightly reconciliation, no drift.
Can it handle ITAR and hazmat shipments?
Cortrova is ITAR-aware and deployable on-premises or air-gapped, and shipping flags hazmat and export-controlled material so it routes through the correct documentation and carrier rules. Combined with the conformance gate, the export and compliance paperwork travels with the shipment rather than being chased down afterward.
